Project Title: METH… So Easy a Caveman Can Get It!!!

Problem Definition:
Our project is about the spread and control of methamphetamine. In today’s society, methamphetamine can be found just about anywhere. We are looking to study how meth spreads to and from people and if such things as school and law enforcement really have that big of an influence in stopping the spread of this harmful drug.

Problem Solution:
We are using Star Logo TNG to make our model. It will show the interactions between our agents and factors in the environment. For example, we are trying to show what will happen if the drug users/sellers come into contact with the law enforcement that will be roaming about the model.

Progress to Date:
We have researched in our school library and found some reliable sources of which we will cite information from. We have, as a team, decided upon some variables for our environment as well as the agents that will be running in our program. We have successfully designed a map to run our project on. It includes rural areas, cities, drug pushers, drug users, law enforcement, and citizens.

Expected Results:
We want our model to predict the spread of drugs in a given area, and show what factors that are best at combating the spread of methamphetamine.
